Two representatives from the Division 3 team (reproductive health, childbirth and paediatrics) Jacqui Tipper and Jenny Cunningham attended the CRN SWP study day recently to highlight the impact that the collaboration between the research team and the clinical team in women’s health has been having on recruitment into clinical trials. The following feedback was received;
“I wanted to contact you to thank you for your contribution to our study day at the racecourse on the 21st March. As you will have been aware it was well attended by GP’s, midwives and primary care based healthcare professionals. The feedback from the day has been positive and I think the addition of your stand and the discussions this provided with the delegates was hugely beneficial.
I know when we spoke you felt it had been an excellent forum to promote both of your roles, the maternity service and the wider research agenda at the RDE. I also felt it was a great forum to develop communication links with some of the GP’s and GP practices which are sometimes harder to reach.
So well done to you both and a very big thank you for your contribution.
Tricia Bartlett, Learning and Development Midwife, RDEFT”
Well done Jacqui and Jennie.
