INTERNATIONAL CLINICAL TRIALS DAY – May 2019

Monday 20 May marks the work of James Lind who held the first clinical trial in 1747 on board the HMS Salisbury when he experimented with different remedies for helping 12 men with scurvy. The Scottish Physician found that sailors given citrus fruits made an impressive recovery compared to the other treatments.

The Research and Development Team at the RD&E are celebrating this event on Monday 20 May at Princesshay shopping centre, Exeter.  Various stalls will be showcasing studies, Paediatric measuring Teddy stall, information/resources relating to the life-changing impact of Research.   Please come and join us.
